Inter Milan badge: Italian club reveal new crest for 2021/22 Serie A season

The Serie A leaders released the new design with the tagline “My name is my story.”

Inter Milan have unveiled a new badge, which they will wear from the start of the 2021/22 season.

It is the first time the Italian club have adjusted their crest since 2014, and sees the Serie A side adopt a blue, black and white ‘IM’ design.

The move to change their badge is seen as part of a wider marketing strategy to increase the club’s popularity around the world.

The club is commonly known as Inter Milan outside of Italy, but tend to be called ‘Internazionale’, or simply ‘Inter’, domestically.

Antonio Conte’s side are six points clear of AC Milan, with a game over their city rivals, as they seek to win their first league title since 2010.

Inter’s domestic rivals Juventus unveiled a new badge in 2017, which saw the club move away from its traditional striped crest to a simple ‘J’ emblem.
