The defender was filmed embracing several players in the tunnel ahead of Los Blancos' clash with Atletico Madrid in the Spanish Super Cup but completely ignored the club captain, who then turned to the camera with a stunned look on his face.

The pair are reported to be at each others throats, though the reason is unknown, and have been embarking on a series of petty actions of one-upmanship on social media.

Arbeloa has previously 'retweeted' a link to a book on Twitter that calls Casillas "a tumour on Real Madrid", while the goalkeeper 'liked' a post on Instagram that described the defender as "a cone".
