Eto'o linked with Barcelona exit

Doubts about Samuel Eto'o’s future at Barcelona have resurfaced after the Cameroon international admitted he was not enjoying life at the Camp Nou.

Eto’o was linked with a transfer last summer only to help Barca become one of the form teams in Europe this season by finding the net 23 times in La Liga.

However, he has said that the happiest time of his career was his spell with Real Mallorca, telling Sportweek: "The club that has my heart is Mallorca and at present I work for Barcelona. That is all.

"I would like to end my career with Mallorca. I had the chance to go to England or Italy, to return to Madrid or to go to Barcelona, I did not make a mistake.

"Last summer I was not really welcome at the club though because certain people doubted me."

Meanwhile, Deportivo La Coruna coach Miguel Angel Lotina faces an injury crisis in the build-up to the Uefa Cup clash against AaB Aalborg.

Strikers Riki, Bodipo and Andres Guardado, as well as defender Manuel Pablo, have all been ruled out of the trip to Denmark while Lopo, Verdu and Lafita are doubtful.

Lotina said of the game: "We have to go into this match showing our opponents respect, because Aalborg won the Danish league last season and performed well in the Champions League.

"But this game will not be easy and due to our problems we will need to fight for everything.

"We are very excited about the Uefa Cup and we will try and get as far as possible.

”We have many casualties but the fans are so enthusiastic about this match we will show them respect by giving everything."
