Football super-agent Jorge Mendes was married on Sunday in Portugal.

One of the most powerful men in the sport, the 49-year-old counts numerous high profile players and managers among his client list, including Jose Mourinho, Angel Di Maria, Radamel Falcao and Cristiano Ronaldo.

The man who has brokered more than £1billion of transfer deals got married to Sandra in front of around 400 guests in the affluent Foz do Douro neighbourhood of Porto on Sunday, with Real Madrid superstar Ronaldo serving as his best man.

If reports in Portuguese newspaper Record are to be believed, Ronaldo bought the groom a pretty stunning wedding present.

A whole Greek island.

It is unclear which island the 30-year-old bought, but with prices coming in at anything from €3million (£2.11m) to €50m (£35.1m) it certainly did not come cheap.
