Manchester United were held 1-1 by Club Brugge in the first leg of their round of 32 Europa League tie.

Emmanuel Dennis capped an electric start by Brugge with a fantastic lob to give the home side a surprise lead after just 15 minutes.

However, United hit back before half time as Anthony Martial latched onto Sergio Romero's long ball and calmly slotted past former Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet.

Both sides created openings in the second half as Dennis continuously caused United's defence problems but neither could break the deadlock, leaving United with plenty to do in the second leg at Old Trafford.
