Ruben Loftus-Cheek wasted no time in showing why Maurizio Sarri was right to start him by scoring after just 105 seconds in Chelsea's 3-1 win against BATE Borisov in the Europa League.

One goal became two in the eighth minute and a hat-trick was completed shortly after half time to cap off a fine performance by the English midfielder on his first start for Chelsea this season.

Chelsea grew complacent late on and BATE took advantage of this by scoring from a wide free-kick to give the fans travelling back to Belarus something to remember the game by, Alexei Rios finishing at the back post after being left unmarked.
