From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. Liverpool have drawn Napoli, FC Salzburg and Genk in the 2019 Uefa Champions League group stage.

Jurgen Klopp's side are still basking in the glory of their memorable win in Madrid just three short months ago.

Now the focus will be on defending that crown with the eyes of the European game focused on dethroning them.

They return as one of favourites to lift the famous old trophy once again but won't have it all their own way with some of Europe's biggest sides restocked and ready to challenge them again.

The Reds face off against Serie A side Napoli, as they did at this stage a year ago, and face favourable trips to Austria and Belgium.

Klopp's men will be confident of topping the group and avoiding one of their fellow group winners in the knockout stages.

Fixtures (8pm KO unless stated)

October 2: Salzburg (h)

October 23: Genk (a)

November 5: Genk (h)

November 27: Napoli (h)
