Facing the Champions League holders, Bayern Munich, the team who have powered to victory in each of their last 17 successive Bundesliga home matches may seem an incredibly daunting prospect. But look a little deeper, and you will find that English clubs in Germany have proved to be thorn in the side for the Bayern.

Bayern have lost their last three European matches against English clubs on German soil, including the Champions League final penalty defeat against Chelsea in 2012, after the match ended 1-1 after extra time.
