Barcelona suffered a shock defeat to La Liga new boys Alaves on Saturday night, showing they can be beaten if you defend extremely well.

However, Luis Enrique's team did dominate most of the match and will be looking to quickly get back to winning ways.

Celtic, on the other hand, come into the game having smashed Old Firm rivals, Rangers, 5-1 in the big Scottish derby.

Brendan Rodgers' men eased passed their rivals but will face a completely different test when they head to the Camp Nou.

It’s a big game for…

Neymar. The Brazilian attacker had a successful summer, captaining his Brazil side to Olympic gold in Rio. He made his return to the Barcelona team in their 2-1 defeat at the weekend to Alaves, assisting the goal that ultimately wasn't enough to help his side.

After a lot of expectation on his shoulders, it will be interesting to see if Neymar can push on to reach the heights of Ronaldo and Messi this season.

Best stat…

In the seven meetings between the two sides, Celtic have only one once.

Their victory came in a Champions League Group G match at Celtic Park in November 2012, beating Pep Guardiola's Barcelona side.

Remember when…

Celtic beat Barcelona, the previous season's Champions League winners, 2-1 at Celtic Park through goals from Victor Wanyama and Tony Watt.

Player to watch…

Luis Suarez. Since joining the Catalan giants, Suarez has notched up a total of 88 goals and 43 assists in 100 appearances for the club.

Last season, the Uruguyan striker netted eight and assisted three in the Champions League and will undoubtedly be hungry for more this campaign.
