Arsene Wenger will start his next job in the new year after receiving "enquiries from all over the world".

The Frenchman ended his 22-year spell with Arsenal at the end of last season and has been out of the game ever since but has no intent on retiring just yet.

Wenger has been linked with a number of options including the director of football job at Paris Saint-Germain and the national team role with Japan.

And he says he will be back in football soon, although he does not yet know where.

"I believe that (I will) start again on January 1. I don't know (where) yet. I feel rested, and am ready to work again," he told German newspaper Bild.

"There are associations, national teams, it could be also (in) Japan. From my 22 years at Arsenal, I have big experience on different levels.

"There are enquiries from all over the world."

Meanwhile Wenger has urged Mesut Ozil to bury the hatchet and return to international duty with Germany.

Ozil walked away from the national team following the World Cup citing racism in the upper reaches of the German FA.

But Wenger, who signed the midfielder from Real Madrid back in 2013, believes that for the good of Germany - and Arsenal - he should make himself available once again.

"I believe that Germany needs Ozil," he added. "I hope that Low can convince him that he will come back. Ozil is a super football player, was not the worst in the World Cup. I did not like that he left the team.

"Because a little bit of motivation disappears when you know that you do not have to be ready for the World Cup and European Championship.

"I love it when the player is as good as possible. If he does not play on an international level, a bit is lost."
