Unai Emery disappointed with Arsenal's loss to Everton

Arsenal took a commanding lead in their Europa League quarter-final first-leg with a 2-0 win against Napoli.

Unai Emery’s side started in spectacular fashion, with Aaron Ramsey finishing a brilliant piece of interplay between Mesut Ozil, Alexandre Lacazette and Ainsley Maitland-Niles.

Lucas Torreira then doubled the lead after dispossessing Fabian Ruiz on the edge of Napoli’s box and seeing his shot beat Alex Meret via a cruel defection of the Italian’s talisman Kalidou Koulibaly.

Ramsey came close to adding a third in the second half, in a performance that compounded the pain of his imminent departure, only prevented by a great reflex save by Meret in the Napoli goal.

Napoli came close in the dying minutes of the game but couldn’t beat Petr Cech and the tie is now Arsenal’s to lose.
