Uefa have confirmed that Arsenal will kick-off their Europa League campaign with a trip to Eintracht Frankfurt, and will also wrap up their group-stage campaign on the road against Standard Liege.

Last season’s finalists were placed in Group F in Friday afternoon’s draw, pitching them against Frankfurt, Standard Liege and Vitoria SC.

While it gave Arsenal a fairly favourable draw, they will still take on last season’s semi-finalists in the form of Frankfurt, who only missed out on a place in the final to Chelsea in a penalty shootout.

Once the Gunners have kicked off their European campaign against Frankfurt on 19 Septmber, Unai Emery’s side will return to the Emirates Stadium to take on Belgian side Liege and then Vitoria in matchday three.

Arsenal will play the second of their double-header against Vitoria at the Estadio D.Afonso Henriques in Guimaraes on matchday four, but the game will take place on Wednesday 6 November as opposed to the normal Thursday Europa League slot with an earlier 4:50pm CET kick-off due to the Portuguese side’s requirement to play home matches on Wednesdays.

Uefa said on Twitter that all of Vitoria's home matches will take place at 3:50pm on Wednesdays, but Arsenal are yet to confirm these details.

The club said: "We have been advised by Uefa that the match details of our away match against Vitoria are still to be confirmed. This match will be played on either Wednesday, November 6 or Thursday, November 7. We will announce confirmed match details in the very near future."

Arsenal will then welcome Frankfurt to north London, before finishing up against Liege.
