England vs Ivory Coast LIVE: Result, final score and reaction from international fixture
Relive all the action from Wembley as the Three Lions continued their World Cup preparations
Stand-in skipper Raheem Sterling set up one and scored another as England cruised to victory in a friendly against Ivory Coast that felt more like a training match after Serge Aurier’s sending off.
Gareth Southgate made 10 changes from Saturday’s comeback win against well-drilled Switzerland as World Cup preparations continued with a first-ever senior international meeting of these nations.
Sterling crossed for Ollie Watkins’ opener and added a second shortly after Aurier’s first-half sending off, with many having left Wembley by the time Tyrone Mings headed home to make it 3-0 at the death. Relive all the action below:
England 2 - 0 Ivory Coast
79 mins: James Ward-Prowse’s night is over as Conor Gallagher comes on for the final 10 minutes or so. He had a great night againt Switzerland, can he replicate that performance in the short time that is left in this game?

76 mins: Chance! That would have been a deserved reward for his performance tonight but Simon Deli misses the target. Luke Shaw gives away a free kick that Jean Michael Seri swings into the penalty area. Deli meets it on the half-volley but leans back on his shot and punts it over the crossbar!

73 mins: England work the ball over to Phil Foden on the left wing and he slides it into Kyle Walker-Peters making an overlapping run. He gets to the ball and squares a fine pass into the six-yard box but there’s no-one there and he can’t quite believe it. Harry Kane had dropped to the front edge of the box and was waiting for the cutback.

He floats the ball over the top but it kicks on after bouncing and rolls away from the right-back before heading out for a goal kick.

67 mins: Chance! It’s tough work for Ivory Coast now. England have some very good players and they are down to 10-men. James Ward-Prowse carries the ball into their final third and the defensive line drop off him. He shoots from range and sends the effort just wide of the right-hand post.

52 mins: Agbadou takes out Grealish with a rash challenge and England win a free kick. It’s taken quickly and passed up to Bellingham making a run to the left side of the box. He weaves his way into space and sees his cross into the middle blocked.
