Follow live coverage as Chelsea head into their fourth Champions League group stage match looking for another three points which would leave them within touching distance of the knock-out phase, as they face Swedish side Malmo on Tuesday evening. So far, Thomas Tuchel’s side have won twice and suffered defeat to group leaders Juventus, who are at home to Dynamo Kyiv this evening - victory for the Blues would likely see a six-point gap between themselves and third place.
Domestically, Chelsea beat Newcastle comfortably at the weekend after progressing through to the League Cup quarter-finals a week ago, leaving them on a six-game unbeaten run in all competitions. Malmo have lost just once in a six-game run of their own, but that was against their visitors tonight, in a 4-0 drubbing at Stamford Bridge in the reverse fixture two weeks ago.
The Blues still have injury concerns in their forward line with Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner sidelined, while Mateo Kovacic is also out injured to further whittle down Tuchel’s squad options until after the upcoming international break. 45 mins: The Malmo crowd have been fantastic. They’ve never stopped chanting and singing despite having very little to celebrate.
Chance for Malmo! What was I saying? Just as I typed that Pena flicks a free kick over Thiago Silva and plays Colak into the box. He hits the dropping ball on the volley but doesn’t catch it cleanly and the shot finishes inches wide of the far post. That would have been a belter of a goal!

42 mins: Chelsea have had 14 shots with half of them on target but they’ve still not found a way through the Malmo defence. Bonke Innocent is fouled in the middle of the pitch by a late tackle from Jorginho, a sign of frustration from the Chelsea playmaker perhaps?

39 mins: Desperate defending from Malmo as Chelsea maintain the pressure on the edge of their penalty area. Crosses come in from both sides. Hudson-Odoi tries to open up room to shoot but has to play it back to Jorginho. He sends it out wide to Azpilicueta whose cross to the back post is headed behind by Jo Inge Berget.

36 mins: Dahlin fumbles the ball again as he keeps out a shot from Alonso on the left side of the box. Malmo clear the ball and Loftus-Cheek gives away a free kick with a heavy challenged just inside Malmo’s defensive third.

33 mins: Johan Dahlin has some very unsteady hands. He’s fumbled a few shots already tonight so Christensen tries his luck from range. His effort drops just in front of the goalkeeper who once again spills the ball. He’s almost punished for his mistake as Alonso tries to poke the ball into the net but he’s too close to the keeper who gets in front of the ball and keeps it out.

30 mins: Chance! Huge chance for Kai Havertz to put Chelsea in front. A throw in deep in Chelsea’s half comes to Jorginho and after a one-two with Hudson-Odoi he threads a dainty pass into Loftus-Cheek in the midfield. Havertz makes a run in behind the Malmo defence and Loftus-Cheek sends the ball up to him. The striker drives into the box and tries to lob the ball over the goalkeeper but Dahlin stays tall and manages to keep out the shot.

27 mins: Ahmedhodzic blocks a shot from Ziyech inside the penalty area and Malmo boot the ball clear. Nanasi is sent forward on the counter and slots the ball into Colak. He gets in behind and strongly keeps hold of the ball after a challenge fro Alonso. Colak knocks the ball into the box for Nanasi who tries to shoot but gets tackled by Christensen and goes down. There’s a loud cry of penalty from the crowd but Feliz Brych isn’t fooled and waves play to continue.

24 mins: Chelsea are working the ball nicely down the right side. Azpilicueta and Ziyech linking up well to win another corner for the Blues. Ziyech’s delivery picks out the run of Loftus-Cheek who wins the header inside the six-yard box but knocks the ball into the ground and wide of goal.

22 mins: A long ball up the inside right channel gets Ziyech in behind. He takes the ball into the box and tries to pick out Havertz with a square pass. The move doesn’t come off and an attempted interception knocks the ball back to Ziyech who checks inside and strikes one with his left-foot forcing Dahlin into another sharp save.

21 mins: Chelsea are starting to impose themselves on Malmo. Azpilicueta chips the ball over a defender and plays Ziyech in behind wide on the right wing. His attempted cross is blocked and Chelsea win a corner. Anel Ahmedhodzic is up highest as the set piece is swung into the box and his clearance drops for Loftus-Cheek. He sets himself and blasts one from just outside the box, curling it over the far top corner of the goal .
