Brighton host Liverpool in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup tonight and the first of two matches between the teams this week.

Holders Liverpool won the Carabao Cup last season and continued their unbeaten start under Arne Slot with a 2-2 draw at Arsenal at the weekend.

Brighton are the sort of Premier League team who would love a cup run and with Fabian Hurzeler’s side sixth in the table and eying a place in the quarter-finals.

Brighton will be at Anfield on Saturday as Slot’s team look to reclaim their place at the top of the Premier League table.

The match will kick off at 7:30pm GMT on Wednesday 30 October at the Amex Stadium.

All of tonight’s Carabao Cup games will be on Sky Sports, with Brighton vs Liverpool available on Sky Sports +. Coverage starts from 7:25pm.

What is the team news?

Lewis Dunk has been ruled out with a muscle injury but Jack Hinshelwood and Yankuba Minteh could be available. Lewis Steele will start in goal and Danny Welbeck is fit.

Liverpool will be without Diogo Jota, Alisson, Harvey Elliott and Federico Chiesa but Conor Bradley could return to the squad.

Arne Slot made nine changes in the previous round against West Ham but suggested he would not be making as many against Brighton.
