This year sees Manchester City try to defend their crown and claim a historic fourth title in succession. Pep Guardiola’s all-conquering City, who also won the Champions League and FA Cup last season, will have to see off Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool and the rest to claim an unprecedented sixth league title in seven years.
Meanwhile Luton Town are making their first appearance in the Premier League, having risen from non-league in an incredible decade of progress. They followed Championship winners Burnley and second-placed Sheffield United in earning promotion to the top flight.

There is only one change for Chelsea who have got a much healthier squad to a couple of weeks ago when they had FOURTEEN PLAYERS OUT! That 14 has been heavily reduced to five players, and Gusto is the one who has come in for the departing Thiago Silva. James remains on the bench despite his huge impact off the bench in Chelsea's 3-2 win against Nottingham Forest, with Chilwell also coming back. It is a rare exciting time for Chelsea after a difficult couple of years, but the squad seems to be returning to health although a bit too late.

Joao Pedro is back after missing the Newcastle 1-1 draw, replacing Danny Welbeck who recently signed a new two-year deal at the club. There are also some former Blues in the Brighton squad with Gilmour coming up against the club where he was seen as a really exciting prodigy. He has got a lot more opportunities to play football on the south coast, as has Lamptey who replaces the injured Veltman.
