Arsenal and Chelsea go head to head for the first piece of silverware of the women’s football season in the Continental Cup final at Selhurst Park this afternoon.

The Gunners knocked out holders Manchester City in the semi-finals while Chelsea thrashed West Ham 7-0 to reach their fourth consecutive League Cup final. The Blues were beaten by City last year but lifted the cup in the previous two seasons.

Arsenal, meanwhile, have not won the League Cup since 2018 and will be out for revenge after Chelsea knocked them out of the FA Cup last weekend with a 2-0 victory at Kingmeadow.

Emma Hayes’s side have had the edge on their London rivals and Arsenal are winless in their last five matches against Chelsea.
