Qualification decided by (in order): points, goal difference, number of goals scored, outcome of encounter between the two sides, drawing lots.

In this scenario South Africa would need to overturn a four-goal differential. Because the group game between Denmark and South Africa finished all-square, the drawing of lots is a real possibility.
