Spencer has recovered from a calf injury and is likely to replace Shipperley in the Chelsea attack. Leicester bring back Lowe after suspension and Carr, who was ineligible in midweek.
Liverpool v Aston Villa
Rush, Barnes and Scales are all ready to return for Liverpool after injury. Nicol, Redknapp and Clough may make way. Bosnich (knee) should be back for Villa, but Richardson (hamstring) is out. Saunders (hip) remains doubtful, but Ehiogu (toe) could play and Houghton returns after being rested.
Man City v Nottm Forest
Rosler (ankle) could return, but City are without Coton, who is replaced by Dibble. Forest are without Roy (international duty). His place could go to Lee.
Norwich v Leeds
Sheron (hamstring) should return for Norwich. Leeds are likely to give Dorigo his first game of the season after a knee operation. Worthington may switch to midfield. Palmer and Masinga face tests.
Sheff Wed v Man Utd
Hirst returns to the Wednesday starting line-up. Watson or Bright will step down. For United, Gillespie replaces Kanchelskis, who is away on international duty, as is Cantona. Giggs (calf) misses a third game and Keane (hernia) is also out.
Southampton v Everton
Southampton should recall Hall and Maddison, but knee victims Allen and Kenna are unlikely to play. Everton could be without Ferguson (foot injury). Rideout stands by for a recall.
Tottenham v QPR
Sheringham (hamstring) returns for Tottenham, who are still without Romanians Popescu and Dumitrescu (international duty). Anderton is out through injury and may be replaced by Caskey. Scott could replace Mabbutt in defence. Allen is likely to retain his place for QPR.
West Ham v Crystal Palace
Cottee returns from suspension for West Ham. Chapman is expected to step down. Martin is also in the squad. Palace are expected to be unchanged.
Wimbledon v Arsenal
Thorn, who returned to Wimbledon on a free transfer from Crystal Palace, is set to play. Jones is also back in contention after a three-match ban. Wright is recalled for Arsenal, but Merson and Schwarz face fitness tests.
TOMORROW
Newcastle v Blackburn
Beardsley (thigh), Fox (achilles tendon) and Cole (calf) have fitness tests for Newcastle, who are without Venison (hamstring) and the suspended Albert, who is also on international duty. Kitson, Clark and Watson are on stand- by. Blackburn hope Gale will return after a knee injury.
