Real Madrid's Raul has signed to stay at the club for another five years with a contract that makes him the best-paid player in the world. The 19-year-old forward will now reportedly earn pounds 1.25m per season. If another club wants to buy the Spanish international, they will have to pay pounds 25.6m to Real.
"It's a good contract," Raul, who received other offers, said. "There are some things more important than money. Maybe I lost money continuing with Real, but I wanted to stay because I became a player and a person here."
