Glenn Hoddle is to play for Chelsea in a testimonial match for the former Swindon Town physio Kevin Morris, who committed suicide in 1994. Hoddle helped arrange the match at the County Ground on 28 July, aimed at raising funds for Morris's widow Joy and his family.

Oscar Washington Tabarez, is to succeed the Real Madrid-bound Fabio Capello as the coach of Milan. Tabarez, 49, who was in charge of Uruguay for the 1990 World Cup, was Cagliari's coach two seasons ago.
