As well as having debutant Stubbs sent off during Saturday's Premier Division opener at Aberdeen, McKinlay was shown a red card after the game, following a clash with an opponent after the final whistle.
Burnley FC have been given pounds 500,000 from the Sports Lottery fund. The community grant will go towards refurbishing and redeveloping the club's 30-year-old gymnasium at Turf Moor.
