The Prudential RideLondon incorporates several races including a FreeCycle for amateur cyclists and families, Grand Prix, two rides through the capital and Surrey countryside, and handcycle event.
Cavendish and Sir Bradley will be competing in the 200km London-Surrey Classic on Sunday, while Trott is racing in the women’s criterium on Saturday evening.
Roads around some of London’s most famous landmarks, including Buckingham Palace and the Olympic Park, have been closed for the events.

Prudential RideLondon FreeCycle (9am-4pm)
Prudential RideLondon Grand Prix (5pm)
Sunday 2 August
Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 (6am-5.30pm)
Prudential RideLondon-Surrey Classic (1.30pm-6.30pm)
Prudential RideLondon Handcycle Classic (8am-9.30am)
There is also a Prudential RideLondon Cycling Show at the ExCeL centre, a festival in Green Park and events in Kingston Upon Thames.
Transport for London is advising drivers to avoid areas near the event routes in London today until 6pm and in the affected parts of Surrey on Sunday.
