Tourists England take on India in a four-match Test series this month as both sides look to build upon impressive victories in January.

England toured Sri Lanka last month, emerging victorious in two behind-closed-doors Tests, while India came from behind during their tour of Australia to clinch a dramatic and historic series win in the fourth Test.

And now the in-form sides will meet in India.

The Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) must make the final call on a return of spectators after the country’s government revealed plans to allow up to 50 per cent capacity in outdoor sporting venues, meaning fans could be present for the four-match series.

The majority of cricket fans will have to watch from their own homes, however, and here’s all you need to know about how to do just that.

When does the series start?

The first Test will begin on Friday 5 February and is expected to wrap up on 9 February.

When and where will each match take place?

First Test: 5-9 February – Chennai

Second Test: 13-17 February – Chennai

Third Test: 24-28 February – Ahmedabad

Fourth Test: 4-8 March – Ahmedabad

What time will each match start?

Play is due to start at 4am in the UK (9am local time in Chennai and Ahmedabad) each day during the first, second and fourth Tests.

During the third Test, play will begin at 9am in the UK (2pm local time in Chennai and Ahmedabad) each day.

How can I watch the series?

The series can be viewed on free-to-air television on Channel 4 in the UK, marking the first time Test cricket has been broadcast live on terrestrial TV since the iconic 2005 Ashes series.

Each match can also be streamed on Channel 4’s website All 4, which will provide day-by-day highlights.
