England's World Cup group match against the co-hosts India will now take place in Bangalore. The fixture, to be played on 27 February, had been scheduled to be hosted by Kolkata's Eden Gardens but the venue lost the match last week after an ICC inspection team decided it would not be ready in time.
Bangalore's M Chinnaswamy Stadium was chosen as both sides will play Ireland in that city shortly afterwards. ICC officials will visit Eden Gardens next Monday to see whether it can host the three other World Cup matches it was allocated.
