England are in control of their own Cricket World Cup destiny ahead of their final group stage game against New Zealand, following their 31-run victory over India.

Eoin Morgan’s men, driven on by excellent batting performances from Jonny Bairstow, Jason Roy and Ben Stokes, now know that a win against the Black Caps will secure their place in the final four, regardless of how challengers Pakistan perform.

New Zealand have slipped to two defeats in their last two games against Pakistan and Australia and will be looking to find some form heading into the semi-final stage. Captain Kane Williamson will be looking to break the half century mark after failing to replicate his early tournament form in the last two games.

The Black Caps, who finished as runners-up in 2015, were defeated by England on home soil back in the spring of 2018 in a 3-2 ODI series loss.

The side ranked third in the world will be looking to bowler Trent Boult to hit another hat-trick following his stellar performance against Australia last time out.
