Cricket World Cup round up
Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

BY GEORGE YOU REALLY BLEW IT

We taught the English how to put spice in their food. Today, we'll teach them how to spice up their cricket.
MATCH BETTING
A WEEKEND of make or break ties sees some value available on individual matches. India (5-6, Ladbrokes & Hills) can defeat England (best price evens with Stanley). Dravid, Tendulkar and Ganguly will all be around 7-2 to top score for the Indians. Take your pick. South Africa (1-8 or thereabouts) should see off Zimbabwe (9-2). Sri Lanka (1-7, generally) should send Kenya home with five losses tomorrow, but Steve Tikolo (around 3-1) is good value to top score for the East Africans. Australia (8-11, Ladbrokes) should step up a notch to shade their match with the West Indies (evens).
