Marshall, who boxed for Great Britain at the 2012 and 2016 Olympics, was due to face Hannah Rankin in Peterborough on Saturday with the vacant championship on the line.
But the contest has now been pulled from the card after Fury, uncle of WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, announced he had tested positive for Covid-19.
“It’s very regrettable that [I’ve] tested positive for Covid-19,” Fury wrote on Twitter.
“Good news @Savmarshall1 tested negative. However due to the restrictions around a positive test, everyone must quarantine for 14 days. But #to reschedule ASAP.”
Promoters Matchroom Boxing released a statement that read: “Unfortunately Savannah Marshall’s trainer Peter Fury has tested positive for COVID-19.
“Saturday’s WBO world middleweight title fight is off the card. All other fighters and teams tested negative.
“The fight will be rescheduled in due course and our best wishes are with Peter.”
Fury is also the father of heavyweight Hughie Fury.
