Daniel Dubois and Joe Joyce will finally go head to head this year after the heavyweights agreed terms for a behind-closed-doors fight.

The Britons have been set to square off in the ring for some time now, but numerous postponements have affected the clash, forcing both men to fight warm-up bouts to tide them over.

Dubois (15-0, 14 KOs) defeated Ricardo Snijders via second-round stoppage in August, a matter of weeks after Joyce (11-0, 10 KOs) stopped Michael Wallisch in the third round.

But promoter Frank Warren has now confirmed that Dubois and Joyce will be finally compete against one another this year, with a date and venue to be confirmed in due course.

“Delighted to confirm that terms have been agreed for @DynamiteDubois vs @JoeJoyceBoxing to take place behind closed doors in 2020,” he tweeted.

“Huge credit to both fighters and their teams for helping us get this incredible fight over the line.

“More details to follow.”
