Conor McGregor reveals how much heavier he is than Floyd Mayweather after piling on weight ahead of fight
McGregor weighed in at 153lbs but has increased his size in the hours before the Las Vegas bout

Much was made of McGregor’s ability to cut his weight to the 154lbs limit, with Mayweather himself questioning how heavy the Irishman was earlier in the week. The two-weight UFC champion had no problems in the end though as he came in under the limit at 153lbs, meaning the fight was on as Mayweather came in at 149 1/2lbs.
However, 28-year-old McGregor stressed that he would walk to the “much heavier” than Mayweather, and ahead of the bout he revealed that he believes he is as heavy as 170lbs – more than 20lbs heavier than what Mayweather weighed-in at on Friday.
“I check but I’d say close to 170lbs,” McGregor told Showtime from his dressing room after having his hands wrapped.
"The weigh-ins, I enjoy them. I let the emotions fly but I'm all business on fight night.
"I'm a seasoned veteran. I've fought under many different lights in many different sports so I'm comfortable with this."
McGregor has fought at 170lbs twice before in his saga with Nate Diaz, although the rest of his UFC encounters have been at featherweight and lightweight, with his most recent outing coming at the latter-limit of 155lbs in his victory over Eddie Alvarez.
However, despite all the talk of his weight ahead of his professional boxing debut, the Irishman cut the same confident figure that has dominated the UFC for the last three years.
"I don't care about his record or achievements. A fight is a fight, it's man vs man. You're only as good as your last fight. Add to that my hard work, my focus, my dedication, that's what I get my confidence from,” McGregor added.
"I'm going to go out and be myself. Free, spontaneous, creative and paint a beautiful picture. I see me truly outclassing this man by putting him to sleep.
"I still feel that inside one round I will have the chance to put him out of there.
"I'm calm, comfortable. I'm excited to put in a performance."
