Scotland and Wales will battle it out for the the Women's Home International Bowls Championship at Ayr Northfield today.
The Scots, defending the title they captured 12 months ago at Leamington, beat England 125-115, while Wales put themselves in line for their first title since 1978 when they beat Ireland 110-97. The Scots led 39-16 after five ends but by the halfway mark England had hit back to be just one down at 58-59.
England then looked as if they might go on to snatch victory and snatch a championship lifeline when they moved 88-86 ahead after 15 ends, but the Scots rallied over the last quarter and pulled away for the 10-shot success.
