Scott Paterson, the 6ft 10in Canadian returned from a two- game suspension and re-launched Newcastle Comets' attempt on the play-off quarter-finals with 43 points in their 112-104 victory over beaten League Trophy finalists, Worthing Bears, writes Duncan Hooper.
Newcastle trailed by 15 points mid-way through the first half, but came back to join Doncaster Panthers in ninth place, two points behind Thames Valley Tigers who stay eighth despite losing 89-78 at home to Birmingham. A result which lifted the Bullets into third in the league.
