The International Amateur Athletic Federation yesterday confirmed that Enrico Jacomini had left as president Primo Nebiolo's chief of staff and been replaced by the American Robert Fasulo, 30, who has served as Nebiolo's personal aide since 1990.
Nebiolo has also appointed the Italian sports television commentator, Giacomo Mazzocchi, to the new post of communications director, while the former Italian national team coach, Elio Locatelli, was named co-director of development. "Jacomini said he couldn't dedicate the kind of time he wanted or that was necessary to continue the job," Fasulo said.
