Russia's women won three gold medals at the 5th annual World Junior Athletics Championships in Lisbon yesterday. Irina Stankina won the 5,000 metre walk in 21 minutes, 5.41 seconds, a new course record, Yelena Lysak leapt 6.72m to win the triple jump, and in the high jump Olga Kaliturina was first to clear 1.88m and won gold ahead of Sweden's Kajsa Bergqvist. Britain's Ian Mackie took bronze in the 200 metres.
