There's no doubt that today's royal occasion will be regarded as one of the biggest weddings of the year.

With that in mind, a number of high-profile friends of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle attended the extravagant event.

Celebrities such as Idris Elba, Oprah and James Blunt have been spotted, while friends such as tennis star Serena Williams have been sharing their preparations for the function with their social media followers.

Following the wedding ceremony, Prince Harry and Markle's guests will make their way to the first reception at St George's Hall, before then heading to the second reception which is being hosted by the Prince of Wales at Frogmore House.
