From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

We’ve previously told you where to find a Meghan Markle-inspired engagement ring, but now, thanks to high street retailer Argos, fans of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle can buy into the royal couple’s fairytale romance with their very own copy of Markle’s stunning engagement ring - for £105,000 less.

Because Markle’s £120,000 ring is out of most people’s price range, Argos has released a £14.99 version that will have you feeling like a royal in no time.

The limited edition ring, which has been aptly dubbed the Meghan Sparkle, features the same design as Markle’s - but for a fraction of the cost and unfortunately, without a prince.

Rather than diamonds, Argos has replaced the priceless jewels with an emerald-cut cubic zirconia placed between two brilliant-cut stones.

And with the same yellow gold band found on Markle’s, the Argos ring is almost an exact replica to that of the future royal’s.

If that weren’t enough to show your love for the American actress and her royal beau, the ring also comes stamped with the date of the royal wedding - 19.05.18 - so you can remember their special day as well as your own.

While Prince Harry designed Meghan Markle’s ring, using two diamonds from Diana’s collection to hug a middle stone sourced from Botswana, the look-alike version is also special - as both are “trilogy rings.”

Trilogy rings, which feature three stones, have grown in popularity because of their significance. Meant to symbolise the past, present, and future - or friendship, love, and fidelity, the rings are a meaningful way to show your dedication to your betrothed.

If you do head to Argos to purchase the ring, which can only be found in stores, happy couples will also receive a gift box featuring a picture of the London skyline.

The ring, described by Argos as the “perfect token to commemorate the royal wedding day,” comes in three sizes, small, medium, and large.

“A classic choice at a price that doesn’t require a royal budget,” according to Clair Albone, a jewellery buyer at Argos, the Meghan Sparkle is the perfect way to make all your princess dreams come
