Themed "Design 2050: Possibilities for Tomorrow," the event - running November 20-30 - will for the first time open to the public via citywide Design Trails. The third Singapore Design festival will also be a special one because this year, it is hosting the ICSID World Design Congress.

American Institute of Architects Gold Medal winner announced

The institute's highest honor - and one of the country's most prestigious architecture awards together with the Pritzker Prize - will be handed out on December 4. Previous winners include Renzo Piano, Norman Foster, and Frank Gehry.
