Here are some of the biggest design events coming up around the world in the next few weeks.
TED2011

TED, which stands for Technology, Entertainment, Design, is a non-profit organization that aims to spread ideas in the interests of global knowledge and inspiration. The annual conference is an invite-only event that showcases ideas and projects from the most creative minds in the world, exploring developments in new technologies, creative design, future concepts and economic innovation taking place across the world. The theme of TED 2011 is "The Rediscovery of Wonder." Many of the talks will be broadcast on the internet for free.

EcoBuild

ExCel Exhibition Centre London

A showcase of the latest developments, products and companies in the world of environmentally friendly building. The exhibition attracted over 40,000 visitors in 2009 including the then British secretary of state. Unlike Enertec earlier in the year or Intersolar in June Ecobuild is focused more on sustainable construction products than energy sources which can be added to existing structures.

Marcel Breuer: Design and Architecture
March 16 - July 3
Vienna, Austria
The spring exhibition at the Hofmobiliendepot - Möbel Museum Wien is devoted to the "inventor" of tubular steel furniture Marcel Breuer, who was also an important architect. The retrospective was developed by Germany's Vitra Museum.
