At an exhibition held by Brian Lack & Co in Hong Kong one buyer boasted that she had taken longer to buy a pair of shoes than she spent buying a pounds 150,000 two-bedroom penthouse in London's Bow Quarter. Let's hope she doesn't regret it, should she ever visit her investment in the East End. The agents sold 53 of 83 new flats in the Fairfield Road end of Bow Quarter to buyers in Hong Kong and Singapore. Eight of the buyers paid their deposits by American Express. Asian buyers have been big spenders in the East End. Do they realise how far away they are from Harrods?
