In a bid to preserve the four-year union of North and South Yemen, feuding leaders agreed yesterday to a ceasefire aimed at integrating northern and southern army troops, AP reports from Sanaa.
Fighting between the north and south erupted last Monday, a day after Mr Saleh and the vice president signed a pact to end political differences that threaten Yemen's May 1990 merger.
