Boris Yeltsin moved to impose his authority in the tiny central Russian region of Mordovia yesterday, declaring illegal an attempt to depose the local elected president until Russia's Constitutional Court ruled on a decision by the local parliament to abolish his post, Reuter reports from Moscow.
