Your support makes all the difference.WASHINGTON - The US Senate yesterday voted to ban 19 types of semi-automatic assault weapons such as the AK-47 and Uzi as part of its dollars 22bn ( pounds 15bn)bill to fight violent crime, Reuter reports.
'Military-style assault weapons have no place in our society,' the California Democrat Dianne Feinstein said after her amendment to ban the sale, production and possession of the assault weapons was passed 56 to 43.
