Switzerland's lower house of parliament voted yesterday for a sweeping historical study of Swiss financial dealings with Nazi Germany and the fate of Jewish wealth deposited before, during and after the Second World War.
The National Council endorsed a decree put forward by the cabinet, sending the measure for final approval to the upper chamber of parliament. The 162-0 vote showed support across the political spectrum and indicated the final approval of the study was likely. Reuter - Berne
