PARIS (Reuter) - The French monthly magazine, Le Nouvel Afrique Asie, said yesterday the Sudanese Muslim leader, Hassan al-Tourabi, held a secret meeting in Paris with France's Interior Minister, Charles Pasqua, last month to discuss seizing Carlos the Jackal and to hand him over.

It said that France had agreed to intervene on Sudan's behalf with the EU, the World Bank, and the International Monetary Fund. France had also agreed to train Sudanese military officers and provide logistic support for the Sudanese military and gradually erase Sudan's French debt.
