Colombo - Sri Lankan soldiers attacking the Tamil stronghold of Jaffna captured an underground base, security sources said yesterday. Tamil Tiger guerrillas, fighting a rearguard action to defend Jaffna town, lost 70 fighters on Saturday, raising their death toll to more than 250 since the army resumed its push on Friday, military sources said.
