Spears on view in Zulu march
JOHANNESBURG (AFP) - The Zulu leader Mangosuthu Buthelezi marched with tens of thousands of heavily-armed Inkatha Freedom Party supporters yesterday in defiance of a government ban on carrying traditional weapons in public. Despite a police ban on the weapons, the estimated 20,000-strong crowd was bristling with spears and clubs as it snaked through Johannesburg.
