Baghdad (Reuter) - Relatives of two Britons jailed for illegally entering Iraq arrived in Baghdad yesterday to press for their freedom.
But Iraq ruled out a quick political settlement, calling on London to change its policy if it wanted the prisoners freed. The mother and sister of Michael Wainwright and the wife and baby son of Paul Ride arrived with British Red Cross officials. The Iraqi Information Minister, Hamed Youssif Hummadi, said: 'I think the British government should sit down now and review its position towards Iraq.'
