Pakistan denies war is imminent

PAKISTAN SAID yesterday that a full-scale war with India was not imminent despite what it called New Delhi's threatening posture on the border and a stand-off in Kashmir. But a military spokesman said Pakistan had taken defensive measures after India put its air force on full alert and moved formations close to the borders.
