Abuja (AFP) - The National Republican Convention, one of Nigeria's two officially approved political parties, announced yesterday that it had annulled results declared in party presidential primaries held on Saturday.
The conservative party said it had been forced to cancel results declared in two of the five states where elections were held because of 'serious malpractices'.
Nine of the 12 presidential aspirants for the more left-wing Social Democratic Party who contested the primaries have called for cancellation of Saturday's vote in all five states.
