San Salvador - Five Central American countries have agreed temporarily to accept Haitian refugees. A joint statement issued by El Salvador, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua did not specify how many refugees they would accommodate, but it said they would supply health services and technical training. Panama's incoming president Ernesto Perez Balladares has also said his government would accept Haitians. AFP
